Advance Web CRM is a full relationship database containing alumni, donors, students, faculty, staff, and friends of UC Santa Barbara. The information contained is confidential in nature and must only be used for business purposes. The university prohibits the sharing of any information with non-divisional staff and outside organizations or parties that have not been approved by a university agreement.
To obtain access to Advance Web CRM, you must fill out the Advance Access Request Form and sign the IA Statement of Confidentiality. Please consult with your supervisor to request access.
Advance Web CRM can be accessed using your UCSB NetID via: https://advancecrm.ia.ucsb.edu/Advance2017/. The site can only be accessed through our campus network by utilizing a UCSB-provided workstation on campus or by using Pulse VPN if working remotely.
It is recommended that all users purge Advance cache on a regular basis to minimize system errors and also delays in page loading. To purge your cache, go to https://advancecrm.ia.ucsb.edu/Advance2017/utilities.aspx. Click on the gray button that says Purge Cache and then re-open Advance.

Quarterly NCOA screening and database updates completed. ~6,000 records updated. (10/2024).

You hold a position of responsibility and trust that carries the understanding that confidential information viewed within this system must be held in strict confidence. IA’s confidential information is not open to the external campus community and precautions are necessary by you to protect this data from unauthorized disclosure or use.
This responsibility will be executed in accordance with the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, the California Information Practices Act, California Public Records Act and other applicable laws, also including the policies and procedures of the University of California, UC Santa Barbara and the Division of Institutional Advancement.
